TwoDNS will be discontinued on December 20, 2024!

November 2024 - Dear Users and Customers,
we would like to inform you that our dynamic DNS service “TwoDNS” will be discontinued as of December 20, 2024. TwoDNS has always been a free service. However, due to new guidelines and an increase in abuse attempts, operating the service is no longer cost-effective. This decision was made after careful consideration and was not an easy one for us.
Important details about the discontinuation:
Discontinuation of the service: From December 20, 2024, updates for dynamic IP addresses will no longer be supported. Existing DNS records will be deleted and will no longer be resolvable.
Access and administration: From the date mentioned, access to the TwoDNS administration portal will be blocked.
Alternative solutions: We recommend that you start looking for a replacement service in good time to avoid any possible interruptions to your DNS supply. If you are a DrayTek device user, we recommend DrayDDNS.
What should you do?
1) Find an alternative dynamic DNS service provider, such as DrayDDNS.
2) Update your DNS settings with your new provider.
3) Notify all parties involved of the change to avoid communication failures.
For further information or assistance, our support team will be happy to help until December 20, 2024.
We are currently examining whether and how the service could continue to be operated with a payment model. If you are interested in continuing to use TwoDNS with a payment model, please send us an email to pay@two-dns.de with the subject line: interested.

Registration disabled

05/2024 - The registration of new accounts is disabled until further notice. This means that the registration form may still be displayed under certain circumstances, but a confirmation email will not be sent.
Should we decide to change this status, there will be an update to this news.
Problems with the host resolution

2024 - We have noticed that there is problem with the host resolution. We are working on a solution to solve the issue. At this moment, we are not able to tell the exactly time schedule.
Problems with DNS Service

2021 - Since around 17:00, there have been increasing reports of problems with DNS resolution. We are currently analyzing the problem together with our provider.
As soon as there is a new status, we will update this news.
Update: The service should work as expected, again.

Problem with email server

2021 - We´re currently investigating a problem with our email server.
Affected are account registrations, our email support and any other email services like username or password changes.
